The American University in Dubai (AUD) is a private, non-sectarian institute of higher learning that was founded in Dubai in 1995. AUD offers both undergraduate and graduate degrees and certificates in middle eastern studies and professional teaching. The guiding principle underlying the university’s establishment was bringing the American educational system to the region, without interfering with or challenging the culture or values of the local community. It is one of the most established international universities in the region, located in one of the fastest growing and developing cities in the world. Programmes are accredited by both the US Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) and The UAE Ministry of Education. Delivering a student-centric, forward-thinking learning experience to over 2000 undergraduates, graduates and professionals from more than 100 countries worldwide, it seeks to empower and enable the leaders and pioneers of tomorrow.
