OVERVIEW

Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) (formerly Ryerson University) is one of the Canadian institutions hosted by the Universities of Canada in Egypt, which opened in 2022. TMU has been moulding students into innovative and successful professionals for 75 years, thanks to its exceptional creative and entrepreneurial atmosphere and its education strategy that focuses on careers.

TMU has now introduced various globally recognised programmes in Cairo, allowing students from the Middle East and North Africa to obtain the same competitive education as their Canadian counterparts, all while being in a welcoming and inclusive environment close to their homes. This will provide them with the foundation to establish a prosperous career not just in Egypt, but also in other parts of the world.

Hosted by Canadian Universities in Cairo, GEMS students would be eligible for 25% off the first year’s tuition fees, in addition to any other scholarships provided by Universities of Canada in Egypt that the student may be eligible for excluding the guaranteed entrance scholarship. The student can combine more than one scholarship and a special discount of up to a maximum of 50%.
