We are a northern UK university based in the beautiful region of West Yorkshire which is closely located between Leeds and Manchester, where it has a great sense of community and internationalisation.

Huddersfield offers a wide range of courses for all levels of study (Foundation to PhD), with over 500 courses delivered across six academic schools. Not only do courses at Huddersfield embody excellent learning structures and outcomes, but they also help prime students in aiming to become industry-ready, along with enabling the chance to gain real industry experience on work placements. Essentially, you’ll leave the University with more than a degree.

We have Triple Proof of Teaching Excellence, which means that our staff rank in the top three in England for the proportion who hold doctorates, who have higher degrees, and hold teaching qualifications (HESA 2022) - so, you’ll learn from some of the best, helping you to be the best.

We are also second in the country for National Teaching Fellowships, which mark the UK’s best lecturers in Higher Education, winning a total of 18 since 2008 (2021 data).

Additionally, 100% of our students have the opportunity to undertake professional work experience during their studies. You’ll have the chance to impress with placement opportunities, studying our award winning Global Professional Award, and careers advice for life. 96.5% of Huddersfield undergraduate students go on to work or further study (HESA Graduate Outcomes, 19/20).
